August 17, 2007 was our One Year Anniversary back in California. What an awesome year it has been. To celebrate, we took the day off of work and went to the beach at Santa Cruz. We walked through the Boardwalk briefly but spent most of our time on the outskirts. We enjoyed a fish filled meal at Aldo's Restaurant, paid for by Dan's employer...what a sweet surprise that was! The restaurant has a great view, pictured to the right.
We enjoyed an appetizer plate of mussells. Best eaten if you don't look at them.
Ah a peaceful beach, where are all the people?. O.k., there were about 10 people in this awesome cove, very peaceful. I love the sound of the waves. And for the first time in 6 years, we were able to jump into comfortable water temperatures.

In honor of your leaving a year ago, our database crashed yesterday. It must be missing you something fierce!
Congrats on such a wonderful year in a great state! The view from the resturant is gorgous.. Our Senior Trip was to Santa Cruz and we didn't research before we left and unfortunatly we were only able to spend time at the board walk cause no one knew where to go. I look forward to visiting again and seeing more, heard there are some cool things to see on the outskirts? Glad things have gone well for you both in the last year.
